Skimmers

There are two basic types of static skimmers.

Hammerhead Compact, great for tight spaces, and hard-to-access areas. Handles fluid fluctuations from a few inches to many feet, depending on the length of our low-vacuum hose. Standard with some F15 Series units, and the Snapdragon Series.

Dimensions: 4.5" long x 1.75" wide x 1.5" tall. Weight: 1 lb.

Sump Side Story - Part 2
One day coolant stopped flowing on one of the machines. Floyd tried increasing the pressure, but nothing happened. There was one operating pipe on the machine, so Floyd let it be. Later, Floyd tried to see what was blocking the pipe, but saw nothing. He tried to clean it out with air, but the air gun didn't work. Floyd took it personally. So he fitted the pipe directly to the air supply. He opened the valve and increased the pressure. 10, 20 30 pounds, nothing. Impatient, Floyd opened the regulator to full - and BANG! Out shoots a 1 inch thick 8 foot long slug of smelly green jelly, flying like an arrow across the plant, almost sliming another machinist!

Sumpster™ and Floating Sumpster™

The latest addition to our skimmer fleet. Sumpster™ uses a unique floating door made of solid plastic, and also includes a screen to keep larger chips from damaging the pump. Mounted in the sump, Sumpster™ handles up to 3 inches of fluid fluctuation. When used with the Zebra Muscle™ F15, the floating Sumpster™ on its pontoon base and pump can work within four feet underground. When used with Snapdragon™, the Sumpster™ can handle up to 10 feet underground.
